Celtic Mayhem is a compilation CD of songs from the past decade, and include a few new fan favorites. The notion of a Greatest Hits CD from a band that, in all technicality, has never had a hit is somewhat risky. Nonetheless, we forged ahead.
Celtic Mayhem is a consummate collections of the songs that we have been playing for the past 10-years. We have selected songs that personally mean a great deal to each of us, and invoke memorable stage performances. The inclusion of Finnegan's Wake, Dylan's Ghost, Fisherman's Blues, Whiskey You're the Devil and Dick Gossips/Dinky's Reel are a tribute to the fans who have made countless requests for us to pick up these Celtic standards so they can sing along with pint in hand. The addition of Acadia, Lukey's Boat and Viking Song represent our early Furies days and how it all began. These are the songs we plan to spice up and add back into the performance set list

This CD has been four years in the making. In that time, as a band we've been through birth, death, divorce, job changes, changes of residence and all the other transitions life brings.
It seems with every CD, we add a new musician to the group. Now with a fiddler in tow, we set sail on the (sound) waves to Canada, Scotland, Ireland, England, and even the Caribbean in search of new stories of magic, mystery and mermaids.
This CD is a tribute to the seafaring folk near and far...their adventures and their love of the chaos one finds on the sea.

Two years, a new member, and a name change later (to honor Maggie's memory) we complete a project that takes us to the source of Celtic music and culture. We explore regions of Ireland, Scotland, England, Spain, and even include some African influences. Wherever You Roam was recorded in the summer of 2000. It features 9 original tunes written and composed by the band. For a taste of one of our traditional covers we added, the East Coast favorite, Lukey's Boat. There are 28 known verses. We covered 8 of them.
The CD project was completed 6 months before Tom Caldwell joined us on drums and we changed the band name to Maggie's Fury. All of the drums on the CD were done electronically and were programmed and meticulously hammered into submission by James.
Our mission in recording "Wherever You Roam" was to capture the essence of our live performances. We did not want it to be too technical and overly studioized. We simply wanted it to reflect the flavor of our live shows.
